ABOUT HOTEL NASSAU BREDA

Hotel Nassau Breda | Autograph Collection is part of Marriott International and is located in a former monastery in the centre of the Burgundian city of Breda. Hotel Nassau Breda offers 94 rooms, bar Sanctuary, a characteristic chapel (capacity 300 pax) for weddings, parties and also 5 spacious meeting facilities. Hotel Nassau Breda is an Autograph Collection hotel, one of the 30 brands of Marriott International. The hotel is part of the Odyssey Hotel Group, the fastest growing hotel management company in Europe.

THE POSITION

As a Duty Management Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage.

During your internship, you will work closely with our experienced team to learn about the day-to-day operations of a hotel, including managing guest requests, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You will also have the opportunity to assist with special projects and events.

The ideal candidate for this role is a quick learner with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You should be able to work well under pressure and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and a desire to learn and grow in the industry is a must.

Job requirements

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Helping with checking in and out guests.

  • Assisting with the planning and execution of events and conferences.

  • Helping with valet-parking.

  • Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the hotel.

  • Providing excellent customer service to guests.

  • Responsible for room checks, duty and safety reports.

  • Assisting with the management of hotel staff.

  • Assisting with the planning and execution of events and conferences.

  • Assisting with the management of hotel inventory and supplies.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • You are following a vocational education or MBO/HBO degree in Hotel/Hospitality, with the necessary practical experience in the direction of hotels or hospitality, with the necessary practical experience.

  • You love the Marriott brand and live and breathe the values: we put people first, pursue excellence, embrace change, act with integrity, and serve our world.

  • Excellent communication in both Dutch & English.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

  • In possession of driving licence B is a nice to have.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience is a plus.
