THE POSITION

As a restaurant manager at The Rebyl Nijmegen, you are responsible for the smooth running of the restaurant. This includes managing the team, managing the budget, and ensuring that all guests receive excellent service. You have a passion for hospitality and know exactly how to create a luxurious experience for guests. You always act proactively and are the main point of contact for all guest requests and challenges. You communicate fluently and assertively in both Dutch and English with both guests and colleagues. You have exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of managing all aspects of restaurant operations. You have a positive attitude and take pride in your work, constantly striving for profitability and a great experience for all guests.

Job requirements

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading, motivating and managing a diverse team of kitchen and front-of-house employees.
  • Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
  • Host regular staff meetings to communicate objectives, expectations, and updates.
  • Supervises day-to-day operations and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by consistently delivering exceptional service.
  • Handle customer concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Implement improvements to improve overall quality and customer experience.
  • Drive initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in restaurant management.
  • Demonstrable experience as a restaurant manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house procedures.
  • Insight into financial aspects, such as budgeting and cost control.
  • Familiar with current industry trends and best practices.
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both verbally and in writing; Dutch knowledge is advantageous.
