Our newest destination in Hotel Nassau Breda is a place made for sharing, savouring, and slowing down. Inspired by Riviera cuisine and infused with Parisian classics, bold Basque flavours, and Venetian bites, it’s more than just a restaurant; it’s a social hotspot.

THE POSITION

As Restaurant Manager, you are the face and backbone of hospitality at our restaurant. You will lead front-of-house operations, ensure that each guest receives service that matches our high standards, and work closely with the kitchen and bar to create seamless service. You’ll help recruit, train, motivate your team, manage daily operations, and make sure that every guest moment reflects the restaurant’s ethos of shared joy, good taste, and true social connection.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, coach and manage the front-of-house team (servers, hosts, bar staff) ensuring top service and consistent hospitality.

  • Oversee guest experience from arrival to departure: greeting, resolving feedback, ensuring guest satisfaction in atmosphere, food, drink, service.

  • Coordinate with kitchen & bar to maintain proper timing, quality, and flow during services.

  • Manage scheduling, staff rotas, hiring and training of new team members.

  • Drive sales targets, manage revenue, monitor costs (e.g. labour, wastage), and participate in budgeting.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety, and regulatory compliance in service areas.

  • Contribute to marketing/events initiatives and collaborate in promoting the restaurant.

Job requirements

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 3+ years’ experience in restaurant management (or assistant management) in high-energy, quality-oriented dining.

  • Strong leadership, communication & interpersonal skills; ability to inspire and maintain high morale in the team.

  • Excellent guest-oriented approach; passion for delivering unique, memorable dining moments.

  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, costs, service metrics.

  • Flexibility in working hours (evenings, weekends) and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.

  • Fluent in English; Dutch fluency is a plus.
