Sapphire House Antwerp is a distinctive Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, inspired by the Golden Age of Antwerp. The hotel features 139 uniquely designed rooms and suites, where authentic historical details blend seamlessly with contemporary luxury.
THE POSITION
As Maintenance Supervisor, you are responsible for the day-to-day execution and coordination of all maintenance activities within the hotel. You ensure that the property is safe, functional and well maintained at all times, while supporting the smooth operation of a 24/7 hotel environment.
You act as the technical point of contact on property, oversee maintenance tasks, manage suppliers and deliveries, and take responsibility for the loading dock and waste management processes. You maintain an organized maintenance workshop and safeguard hotel assets such as tools, materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervising and performing preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the hotel
Solving malfunctions and carrying out repairs to equipment, sanitary facilities, lighting, furniture and locks
Performing painting and minor renovation work
Reporting and following up on technical issues related to power supply, HVAC, elevators and other installations
Conducting standard inspections and controls using established checklists
Monitoring stock levels of maintenance supplies, lamps, furniture and small equipment
Coordinating and supervising deliveries via the loading dock
Responsible for proper use, cleanliness and organization of the loading dock area
Managing waste processes, including separation, storage and disposal in line with regulations and sustainability guidelines
Supporting operational needs such as connecting audiovisual equipment
Ensuring cleanliness of public areas and outdoor spaces in collaboration with other departments
