JOIN US AS SALES EXECUTIVE – NETHERLANDS SOUTH

THE POSITION

We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Executive to accelerate our growth in the Southern Netherlands region (Breda, ’s-Hertogenbosch & Nijmegen).

This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of sales experience (hospitality preferred) who is ready to step up, take ownership, and build a strong local B2B network. You will actively drive corporate room revenue, meetings & events sales, and long-term partnerships with SMEs (MKB).

You’ll report directly to the Sales Manager Netherlands South and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue, and the operational hotel teams to turn commercial opportunities into measurable results.

This is not just a support role, you’ll manage your own accounts, targets, and pipeline.

Job requirements

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute and optimize the regional account activation plan, targeting local SME (MKB) businesses

  • Drive corporate room nights, long-stay business, and meetings & events revenue

  • Promote our distinctive meeting & event spaces (conference rooms, rooftop terraces, creative venues, unique event concepts)

  • Proactively generate new business through cold acquisition, networking, and local partnerships

  • Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and client presentations

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships

  • Align closely with hotel General Managers and operational teams to ensure seamless execution

  • Collaborate with Revenue & Reservations teams to maximize rate strategy and profitability

  • Represent Odyssey at trade fairs, business events, and local networking platforms

  • Monitor market developments and competitor activity

  • Apply Odyssey’s sales standards, CRM processes, and reporting structure consistently

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 1–2 years of experience in sales (hospitality experience is a strong plus, internships count!)

  • A strong commercial drive and hunger to achieve targets

  • Confident communication and relationship-building skills

  • A proactive mindset, you create opportunities instead of waiting for them

  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment

  • High level of organization and pipeline discipline

  • Fluent in Dutch and English

  • Based in Brabant or Nijmegen area

  • Willingness to travel within Breda, ’s-Hertogenbosch, Nijmegen and occasionally to our Headquarters in Utrecht
