At Sapphire House Antwerp, a beautifully restored 16th century landmark, we are seeking a motivated Groups and Events Sales Specialist to create memorable experiences in an inspiring historical setting where you can grow, develop, and contribute to our unique hospitality approach.

You will become part of our fast‑moving and collaborative Belgian team, which values responsibility, excellent service and innovation. As part of the Odyssey Hotel Group, Europe’s most ambitious hotel operator partnered with Marriott, IHG and Accor, you will contribute to our continued growth and success.

THE POSITION

Odyssey Hotel Group is seeking a motivated and results-driven Groups & Events Sales Specialist to strengthen our Groups & Events Sales Team. Within this role you are responsible for generating revenue by promoting and selling groups and event services throughout our portfolio in Europe.

The Groups & Events Sales Specialist works closely with clients, the sales team, and other commercial departments to deliver exceptional service.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Support the sales team by managing inquiries and processing requests for the Meetings and Events segment.

  • Assist in qualifying leads and preparing tailored proposals for corporate clients, event planners and group bookings.

  • Coordinate communication between clients and operational departments to ensure seamless planning of M&E operations.

  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts and event details to support smooth execution.

  • Prepare sales materials, contracts and administrative documentation required for M&E sales activities.

  • Assist with scheduling site inspections, sales calls and client follow‑ups.

  • Provide timely updates on client needs, booking changes and event requirements to the operational teams.

  • Monitor sales pipelines, update CRM data and support reporting to ensure accurate sales insights.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

  • Proven experience in sales, (group) reservations, account administration, or business development support, preferably in hospitality or event sales.

  • Strong ability to establish and maintain client relationships.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • A proactive and target-driven mindset with the ability to work with many stakeholders.

  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English.

  • Experience with CRM systems and event sales platforms is an advantage (OPERA is a pré).
